Bekina Indurub invests in machines

The Bekina slogan is ‘Innovation Through Craftmanship’. Innovation is a key value for all members of the Bekina Group, and certainly not least Bekina Indurub. We never remain static; we are always actively looking for new opportunities for growth. And that’s why we recently invested in new machines for the company. We are proud to announce the addition of two new injection moulding machines to our plant: a 500-tonne machine and an innovative 2K injection moulder. As well as improving productivity, these machines will raise the bar for quality and versatility in our production facility. 

Our plant now has 26 state-of-the-art Engel injection moulders. Two of these are new additions. The first new machine is a 500-tonne machine, which is ideal for producing larger products. It has a selection of moulds to facilitate higher output.   

The second addition is a new 260-tonne 2K machine. It has a pick-and-place robot and we can use it to make double injection moulded products with a maximum weight of around 1kg for the first component and 280g for the second. 

2K injection moulding is an advanced injection moulding technique that has numerous benefits, for example: 

• Two different materials or colours can be mixed to make a single component 
• Perfect for combining different functional characteristics such as antislip, grip or soft-touch, and for better aesthetics with two colours 
• Perfect chemical bonding with appropriate choices of material, reinforced with robust mechanical bonding
